Morning fairies. I've spent the first half of this week recovering from a busy weekend! I went home to my parents' farm for a WWOOF weekend...so spent Saturday building a willow dome (it doesn't look like this yet, but it will when it starts growing!), shoveling bark chippings, and pulling out and burning brambles! Hard work but very satisfying. A friend of mine, Ruby Rouge, also came down for the weekend (taking a break from her day job in London of making burlesque hats and accessories)...and she told me about an American website called Etsy, which is a bit like eBay, but only for selling handmade items. I have had a little look, and there are some amazing things on there...I think it might become quite addictive...let's hope it spreads to the UK!! Would be good to get some Fairylove wings up there.

Spring is springing up everywhere here at Fairy Towers. We've even been eating lunch outside over the last couple of days, what utter luxury.
On Friday we gave up trying to work indoors whilst the sun was shining outside, and Jason fairy whisked us off on a surprise fairy outing to a place called the Land of Lost Content...which, it turned out, is the most incredible museum, run by a couple, which consists of 3 floors absolutely stuffed to bursting with everything you can imagine, from 1920s soap powder boxes, to 1950s make-up, to 1980s board games, and everything in between! We were the only people there, and spent a good hour exploring the depths. It's in Craven Arms, so if you're ever passing through Shropshire, make sure you stop for a visit! Their website doesn't seem to be working at the moment, but if you Google it, you should find details.
(We've already been receiving some very inventive entries for our new Caption Competition...so get your thoughts down on paper (or screen) and send them to us for a chance to win a fabulous prize! And there will be runners up too...)

Hey fairy dudes...Rosa fairy reporting. Home alone in the office today, Jason's gone for Rachael's scan, and Shelley's still on the other side of the world. Actually Kate Fairy's just arrived to make wings, so I've got some company...we're about to go out into the beautiful sunshine and photograph the new Tedheads that have arrived!!
Jason and I have been working away on the website like busy little squirrels over the last few weeks...I've re-vamped the 'In the News' page with some of our fabulous press coverage...there's a very gorgeous photo that was recently used in the Daily Mail fashion supplement, plus some pictures from a Roberto Cavalli catwalk show that we made wings for. We even have a video of it, but it's an old VHS tape, so I'm going to try and get it 'digitised' so we can put it online.
I'm going to launch a new competition this week...it's going to be a caption competition, so I've just gotta choose the right picture and get it up here...Keep your eyes on the Competition Page.

Hey fairies, Jason fairy reporting in again! Last night this fairy had a little too much fairy liquid so I have been very fuddle-duddled all the day. Answers to even the simplest questions have evaded me. Do I want tea Rosa? Do I want tea Rosa...I don't know1 I am a fairy grumpster...I think what i need to do is to get some wings on and do something silly.......lets see..........
Jason Fairy sets new world record for how many tutus can be worn at the same time....a staggering 53!!
Well I feel slightly better for that piece of fairy folly in the cold winter air.Of course all this silliness is not gonna get the baby bathed....arghhhh, there I go again...got babies on the brain. Next week, wednesday I meet Rachael at hospital for 20 week scan. This will not mean anything to you unless you've done the baby thang, and if thats the case you'll just have to wait your turn coz it's far too baby blah blah for me to be able to explain.
Suffice as to say the last time I arranged to meet Rachael for a scan, she got stuck in traffic and couldn't make it. Rather than feel like i had wasted an hour of my time in the waiting room I graciously offered myself up for the scan. Never guess what...they actually did give me a scan. Inside my tummy i have a great white shark, a number plate, an uopened bottle of champagne (miracle), my long missing tedhead and a copy of the Koran.

Wednesday 30th January 2008 - by Rosa Fairy
It was my birthday on Sunday! I had a big feast at Fairylove HQ in the beautiful wood-panelled room. After dinner, Jason produced four Wish Lanterns (see the 'Wishes in The Sky' link in Jason's blog entry below) and got everyone to write wishes on them for me, and then we set light to them and sent them up into the sky. It is so exciting watching them go up! I'll try and get some photos up here. Talking of photos, I was looking through my Festivals 07 photos the other day, and found this video clip from Cornbury Festival that I'd completely forgotten about - hilarious!! I love Jason's somersault at the end - watch out for it (by the way he's the one in the giant pink afro wig, not the gorilla suit!)

Well the cat's away and the mice will play! Shelley is now sunning herself down under in the paradise location where fairylove was born.
The Enchanted Waterfall Fairylove HQ in Australia
You can stand directly beneath the waterfall you see here, and this is just a few hundred maters away from the house....a great place for fairies to hang out and make wishes. Shelley will be hooking up with all our mates from Byron Bay which to my mind is one of the world's top spots for a holiday.
Whilst Shelley is away Rosa and I are tippy-tapping with computers and not being on holiday. The first Fairylove fairy baby grows inside Rachael, partner of Jason Fairy whilst he devours books on fatherhood and paces up and down nervously.
Great festie friend Sam Sam Bubbleman re-broke his own world record and we forgot to tell everyone so look here for details. We are now actively recruiting for summer sales staff for the festies, so if you think you've got what it takes then drop us an e-mail and tell us why!
Another fairylove friend Jonny who owns Wishes In The Sky is driving to Indiato raise money for a school over there. take a look at the Good Karma Drive and help support a good cause

All going well at fairylove HQ,the ducks in the pond are very happy, they now have 2 ponds to swim in cause we have had so much rain that it's all flooded!! i am very happy and excited that i will soon be on a plane heading to warmer climates!!! 3 days in hong kong to visit my sister and then on to aussie..i am heading up to wanganui nearly straight away and have had news that there is lots of rain there too,so the waterfall will be cranking!!But i am getting away from myself as i am still here!!! There seems to be a new lease of life in the air at fairylove as we talk about bristol markets and also maybe doing a bristol charity bike ride "wishes on wheels"in the summer!! we had a visit from kathy laffy fairy last week,we had great fun doing model shots for the new buy now wings!! the wings are all looking gorgeous and i have made myself 2 very gorgeous pairs to take on holidays with me!
so wishing you all a great couple of months and am sure i will love reading what jason and rosa write while i am away!! I can already feel the sun on my face and the water racing on my skin as i dive in the sea!

Ah ha! My turn again already, and Jason and Shelley have both missed their go! Naughty. I shall have to tickle them with the fluffy fairy whip.
Shelley and I have just been running around outside in the freezing cold dressed in fairy outfits to get model shots of the rest of the Buy Now Wings...are we mad??? Actually, it was quite fun, especially when the weak winter sun came out and warmed our bones a little. Keep an eye on the Buy Now Wings category in the shop to see the photos...I'll be uploading them over the next couple of days.
Currently, I am mostly trying not to think too much about the fact that Shelley is going to be basking in hot sunshine for the next 6 weeks...because I am very jealous!!! Hehe...but I do hope she has a wonderful time! Actually, things aren't looking too bad...I mean we're already halfway through January, which means Spring IS on the way, and there's lots to look forward to. My birthday in a couple of weeks, for one. And, Shelley had an idea this week, that maybe we should start doing the weekend markets in Bristol! That would mean me filling my car with Fairylove goodies, driving down to Bristol, and setting up a little stall. Which is really quite exciting, and means I get to hang out in Bristol a bit more! Woohoo!
Monday 7th January 2008
A few dramas in the world of Rosa in the past couple of weeks. (Oh, and in case you haven't caught on yet, we now each update the blog one day a week...so it's me on Mondays, Shelley on Wednesdays, and Jason on Fridays. Watch this space to see how well we manage to keep it up!!)
My car broke down on the day after Boxing Day, so I have been without wheels since then which has been a bit of a struggle. Car's in hospital, being seen to. I would describe its condition as 'critical but stable'. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
Friday 4th January 2008
Bit of a meltdown in website world here. For some unknown reason we have slipped a ranking on google so all our fairies are scuttling around in cyber world trying to eradicate the gremlins.
I've told me mum now , so I can now publicly announce that I, Jason fairy am going to be a fairy daddy!!!
(Oh, and for those of you who don't know Shelley is not the fairy mummy to be. Shelley and I are the dearest of friends but the end of our fairy romance was offered up to the stars over a year ago.)
The new fairy will arrive sometime before Glastonbury this year so I will probably be dipping out on most of the festies this year. Will be staying back at Fairylove HQ doing what needs to be done for the children. Any advice on any of the above issues graciously accepted!!

Shelley's turn to write!
Our Christmas party was a lovely evening full of warmth and laughter, bubbles, and the most delicious homemade pizzas. We all decorated the Christmas tree and sat in front of the roaring fire in the wood-panelled room. It was quite a civilised affair, and we were all tucked up in bed by 11pm.

The newly-decorated Fairylove Christmas Tree in the wood-panelled room!
There was a knock at the door at 9am this morning that got me out of bed, it was a young lass wanting to purchase a pair of pixie ear tips, which tickled my fancy!!!
Then we all feasted on a big breakfast cooked by Jason Fairy, and then it was back to a day in the life of Fairylove HQ; wing-making, tutu ordering, and post office trips to get goodies off in time for Christmas...

Rosa replies...
It's all lies I tell you, lies!
Nice of Jason to show his face on the blog for a change. Gives him something to do with his time other than fart and smoke out of the window. Touché.
Tonight we're having our first proper Fairylove Staff Christmas Party! We had a mini one last year, and ate olives and crisps and drank champagne in the workshop, but Jason vanished half way through the evening, as he is known to do. Anyone would think he doesn't love being surrounded by three beautiful women every day. Hopefully he'll stick around a bit longer tonight - we're going to make pizzas, and i've made a massive trifle for pudding. YUM.
Thursday 13th December 2007
Well, seeing as Rosa Fairy is being such a slacker with this blog, I thought I'd add me own tuppence worth. Not quite sure what she spends her time doing in the next door office....fluffing her hair and thinking about boys probably. Actually, all fairies are going full steam at the moment. Christmas fairy goodies are flying out from the website and as always we can never quite get enough wings made.
Shelley these days is rattling around Fairylove HQ freezing her wings off. The house has many charming features but being well insulated is not one of them. If you can suggest ways for Shelley to keep warm on the cold winter nights please e-mail her (click 'Contact Us' at the top of this page). If her fingers don't freeze I'm sure she'll be delighted to type you a reply!
More news....in about 6 months time there's going to be another addition to the Fairylove family. Might it be a new fairy apprentice (could this be you?) or might it be smaller, crying a lot, and keeping one of us awake at night. But which one?? Could it be Rosa, mild-mannered, sweet as cherry pie, with rosebud lips? Could it be Kate, 3 babies already and going for a home run 4th? Could it be Shelley Fairy, populating English soil with antipodean fairy energy? Or could it be Jason fairy...first man fairy to conceive t'other side of dingly dell?
Keep checking back for more...........hopefully Rosa will find a few minutes, once she's finished her nails, to reply.

Shelley and I are back in the office today, after a few days of adventure in London. We caught up with lots of festival friends, which is always lovely because it's hard to really spend quality time with friends at the festies, so it was a real treat to see some of them this weekend. We are happy to be back in the countryside though. A bit of space and peace - the city's so hectic when you're not used to it like us country girls!
This is Shelley on the train!!!
Wednesday 7th November 2007
Well, all the fairies have had their post-festival-season holidays, and are now back in the office (or orifice as it is sometimes known.) Shelley has spent hours photographing all the new stuff we had on the stall this year at the festivals, and i've been adding it to the online shop, which is now filled to bursting. Trying to squeeze in some wing-making around all of that is a challenge!! The fairies are gathering for a trip to London this weekend, to go to the One Taste Festival on Sunday. Click here to find out more about One Taste...we love them!!
If you're in or around London on the first Sunday of the month, check it out.
Wednesday 17th October 2007
Hmm...what can i say. 6 months without a word is pretty lame isn't it...well, the Summer season just took over and somehow the Blog got forgotten about. That's what it's like doing a Fairylove Festival Season! You seem to forget that the outside world exists when you're spending 5 nights a week in a field.
We did have the most fantastic Summer. After our Staff Interview Weekend in April, we got together the most amazing team of fairy staff. I think we all feel like we've gained a group of lovely new friends...and we have vowed to meet up over the winter to help make it go past faster!!
Those of you who saw Fairylove at the festivals will hopefully have had the pleasure of meeting at least some of the Fairylove fairies! For those of you who missed out, here's a little photo montage to introduce you to the Fairylove Festival team:

Top row: Patrick Fantastic, Emma Delicious, Tamara Superstar, Natalie Fabulous, and Kathy We-Love-Laffy!
Bottom row: Shelley Queen of The Fairies, Jason Evil Boss Fairy, Me (Rosa!), Gorgeous Jess, and Lovely Leo
I have set up a Facebook for Fairylove (just search for Fairy Love and add us as a friend!) and I'll soon be adding all of our festival photos! Long overdue, but there's just been no time until now.
I'm also in the process of adding some FABULOUS new items to the shop...we had lots of new stuff on our much-expanded stall this summer, and now it's going up in the online shop too. For example...our BIGGEST EVER tutus (which have to be worn to be believed!), gorgeous floaty rag tutus, and my FAVOURITE item of the summer...Frilly Knickers!!! Which i managed to wear with just about every outfit all summer - underneath, over the top, or on their own! We are very low on stock at the moment, but waiting for the new ones to arrive.
So if you want to see any of that, go to the Shop and look out for things that say 'NEW!' next to them. And i'll be adding lots more over the next few weeks.
I moved house on Monday! After living in a caravan at Fairy HQ over the summer, i decided it was getting just a little too chilly for my liking, and despite Shelley and Jason's kindness in letting me into their home to use the bathroom and kitchen, i'd just had enough of walking across a damp field and getting wet feet on my way to bed!
So i've found a shared house in Hereford...mmmm, central heating! GREAT shower! And it's going to be interesting seeing how my 4 male housemates take to living with a full-time fairy. Watch this space!
Wednesday 25th April 2007
Oh dear...oops. Haven't written in the blog for a whole month! So much has happened since last time I wrote. Too much to write about, so i'll do you a photo-story!
Holly and Sam called by on their road trip round Wales, and had a tour of the Fairylove Workshop |
On 1st April, Shelley, Kirsty, and I went on a girls' night out to London, to go to 'One Taste', a music and spoken word night organised by a friend of ours. Here's me on the tube, complete with fairy wings... |
...and here's the girls having a big fairy hug on stage at the end of the night! |
7th April, Jason's 40th Birthday weekend! Fancy dress theme: 'celebrating the eccentric'. Party described by one guest as "epic"! |
Birthday Walk - we all went on a walk dressed as fairies (that's Jason on the right in the gorilla suit)... |
...many costume changes were had by all, as illustrated by this crush in the dressing-up boudoir later in the night!! |
Monday 26th March 2007
Well it's all been busy busy in the Fairylove workshop lately...lots of planning meetings and exciting ideas being developed! Today was the first bit of really warm sunshine we've had - as you can see, Jason and Fig (Kate Fairy's dog) are making the most of it, at the top of the steps that lead to our workshop:

At the moment we have the delightful Kirsty Fairy staying with us (aka Fluffy Pink Blonde). She's been helping out with fairy-odd-jobs, like packing fairy poo, and making beautiful fairy wish necklaces. We all went to the Car Boot sale yesterday morning. It's just started up again, after the winter hibernation, and we all came away with lots of exciting bargains, including a brand new pair of pink Converse boots for Shelley, a bright yellow bag for Kirsty, and a 1940s ball gown for me! We love the Car Boot Sale!!!
Monday 12th March
Today Shelley has driven up to Leicester to pick up some big rolls of fabric from our seamstress, who is sadly moving to Spain, so we are looking for a replacement! So if anyone knows someone who's handy with a sewing machine and has plenty of dress-making experience, get in touch!
Jason has done his back in, and has gone off for an emergency appointment with a Chiropractor, so I'm in the office on my own. I'm getting very excited about these gorgeous false eyelashes made from feathers, which we discovered recently. We're hoping to get them on the stall this summer, and in the online shop...very exciting. Look at these!
Friday 9th March
Time flies!! Can't believe I haven't written up here for so long...busy busy. Spring has definitely sprung - daffodils everywhere. Shelley is back in the country again, having to re-adapt to the chilly weather (with a lovely tan that makes me long for summer). Did anyone see the eclipse of the moon last week? Very beautiful. Apparently historians were able to date the crucifixion of Christ by an account from the time of the moon turning 'blood red', which must have been a lunar eclipse.
This week I played at being a Mum and looked after baby Morris for 24 hours - here he is posing for the camera, and the other photo shows his gorgeous parents, Mella and Lewis, dressed spectacularly for a party at Fairylove HQ!
