Fairylove has it’s origins in the skills and creative talents of Shelley fairy who has been making fairy wings for over 12 years. In 2000 after a whirlwind fairy romance with a traveling Englishman called Jason the fairy couple started a new fairy enterprise together and called it Fairylove. They called the business Fairylove because this is what they shared with each other, and what they decided they wanted to share with the rest of the world. Located in the heart of the Australian rainforest in Byron Bay, the fairy enterprise soon expanded from doing the local markets to touring the length and breadth of the country on the Australian festival circuit. After a few trial forays back to Jason’s homeland on the UK festival scene, Fairylove upped sticks and relocated to England. Business boomed as more and more people discovered the joy of wearing their beautiful wings. By this time the fairy enterprise had expanded and now included a range of Fairylove clothing, dress-up accessories and a whole gamut of other fabulous fairy goodies! The spirit of Fairylove soon placed them as the doyens of the festival circuit, and in 2005 Fairylove won the coveted ‘Best Stall’ at Glastonbury, the world’s most prestigious festival. Fairy fever had arrived in the UK and Fairylove continue to be at the very cutting edge of all things fairy the world over. In May 2006 Fairylove signed the lease on a large 15th century country house in the wilds of the Herefordshire countryside. From what has become known as ‘Fairylove HQ’ they now offer the opportunity for visitors to come and experience some fairylove on home turf. Shelley and Jason believe they owe their success to loving what they do, believing in magic and a spirit of abundance for all. |
